PDF is a very popular document format. However, PDF editing tools are not always affordable. This has led to the development of more economic utilities that can perform simple operations on this type of file. Wondershare PDF Splitter is one of those tools, specifically intended to split PDF documents based on different criteria.
The program has a nice intuitive interface. The whole process is based on selecting an input file, a splitting method and an output location. The main advantage of this application is derived from its versatility to split the documents using different methods. Perhaps the simplest way is to split the original file by creating new documents with a specified number of pages. Equally simple is the method to split the source file into a given number of equal-sized documents. If you prefer to use hierarchical criteria, such as dividing a document into chapters, you can also set a division by bookmarks. Another way is to enter a page range just as you select the pages to print. This procedure will generate two files, one containing the given range, and another with the rest of the pages. However, the most flexible of the splitting procedures available from this application is the one that allows creating several PDFs by specifying different page ranges for each of them.
Generally speaking, Wondershare PDF Splitter is a fine application doing exactly what we expect from it. However, I would like it to support batch PDF splitting as well.
